Training program

Investigación Agraria, published by the Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias of the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, presents the virtual training program “Fundamental Skills for Authors, Reviewers, and Editors in Agricultural Sciences and Related Fields.”

The training will be led by Dr. Ronan Xavier Corrêa, professor at the Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC), Brasil; CNPq Research Productivity Fellow, Level 1D; PhD in Genetics and Breeding from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa; and editor and reviewer for scientific journals.

The program aims to strengthen the skills required for scientific writing, ethical conduct in scholarly publishing, and the critical evaluation of manuscripts. It is intended for professionals and graduates in agricultural sciences and related fields who can demonstrate an established academic track record.

The program comprises three courses:

  • Scientific Writing and Manuscript Preparation  (20 hours)
  • Ethics in Scientific Publishing (10 hours)
  • Critical Evaluation of Scientific Manuscripts (10 hours)

Interested applicants may apply for one, two, or all three courses. The program will be delivered entirely online through FCA Virtual and Zoom, with certification at no cost and limited places available.

This activity is carried out within the framework of project RENA01-56 “Fortalecimiento de capacidades para la excelencia editorial”, awarded by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) through the Programa Paraguayo para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y Tecnología, Component III “Sistema de Investigadores del Paraguay”, Subcomponent III.4.1 “Programa de Fortalecimiento de Revistas Científicas Nacionales.”
