EFECTO DE LA ESTRATIFICACIÓN Y DEL TAMAÑO DE LA SEMILLA EN LA PRODUCCIÓN DE PLÁNTULAS  DE LIMÓN RUGOSO (Citrus jambhiri LUCH.). 1

Abstract
The rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Luhc.) it is one of the rootstocks more used in Paraguay. To study the effect of the stratification and seed’s size in rough lemon’s seedlings, a 3 x 2 factorial experiment was implanted 3 x 2, in blocks in randomized bocks with 4 repetitions, between July-September 2004 in the FCA-SP. Percentage, beginning and emergency uniformity, height, fresh and dry mass of seedlings and poliembrion percentage were determined. Interaction doesn’t exist among the studied factors. The seed’s size medium (between 5 x 9 mm and 4 x 8 mm) presented bigger percentage and emergency uniformity, while the big (> 5 x 9 mm) were superior in fresh mass, dry mass, height seedlings and poliembrion percentage. The stratification had significant effect in the emergency uniformity and in the fresh mass of seedlings.


Resumen
El limón rugoso (Citrus jambhiri Luhc.) es uno de los porta-injertos más utilizados en Paraguay. Para estudiar el efecto de la estratificación y el tamaño de la semilla en la producción de plántulas, fue implantado un experimento factorial 3 x 2, en bloques al azar con cuatro repeticiones, entre julio y setiembre 2004 en la FCA-SP. Fueron determinados porcentaje, inicio y uniformidad de emergencia, altura, masa fresca y seca de las plántulas y porcentaje de poliembrionía. No existe interacción entre los factores estudiados. Las semillas de tamaño mediano (entre 5 x 9 mm y 4 x 8 mm) presentaron mayor porcentaje y uniformidad de emergencia, mientras que las grandes (> 5 x 9 mm) fueron superiores en masa fresca, masa seca, altura de la plantula y poliembrionía. La estratificación solo tuvo efecto significativo en la uniformidad de emergencia y en la masa fresca de plántulas.
